The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a remote and rugged circuit of Mount Manaslu (26,781 ft / 8,163 m), the world's eighth-highest mountain. This Off-the-beaten-path trekking begins at Machhakhola (2,950 ft / 900 m) after an 8–10 hour rough jeep or bus ride from Kathmandu. The Manaslu trek ends at Dharapani (6,102 ft / 1,860 m), where trekkers take their return to Kathmandu through Besisahar by jeep/car or bus ride. The whole distance of trekking from Machhakhola to Dharapani is approximately 110 miles (177 km).
