“Hotel Kaze Darbar” ( the palace of Ranas’), the concept of this hotel is to renovate and preserve the heritage, historic and cultural buildings of Nepal and turn them to boutique Characteristic type of hotel, like a eco resort or hotel. The Ranas built white stucco palaces, copying the prevalent European Neo-classical style. The load-bearing brick structures still retained some of the traditional Malla period construction technology however in some cases also introduced steel I-beams. With time, the dwellings took on the Rana style, either by copying decorative elements or reproducing miniature palaces.
