Excitation and anxiety are always mixed together when traveling abroad, but my most recent flight with Iberia Airlines JFK Terminal was one of the most seamless experiences I've ever had. I allowed myself ample time to get around the airport because I was going to Madrid for a much-needed vacation. Even though I was flying Economy, the line moved quickly thanks to helpful attendants and self-service kiosks. In no time, I had my boarding pass and was headed to security. Security at JFK can be a gamble, but on this day, it flowed efficiently. Within 20 minutes, I was past the checkpoint and inside a surprisingly modern and clean terminal. There were lots of food options, quiet seating areas, and plenty of outlets for charging devices. I grabbed a coffee, found a spot by the windows overlooking the tarmac, and enjoyed some peaceful moments before boarding. The gate experience was equally seamless. Iberia’s staff made clear announcements, organized boarding by groups, and kept everything moving smoothly. I boarded my flight feeling relaxed and ready for the journey.
