My favorite trip started at KLM Airlines Amsterdam Office which is the center of the airline. Being a travel and aviation enthusiast, it seemed unreal to me to tour the headquarters of one of the oldest airlines in the world. KLM's efficiency and tradition were mirrored in the sleek, contemporary architecture. The Dutch were very kind when I arrived, and the employees made a special effort to tell me about the airline's exciting future and rich past. Not only was the behind-the-scenes tour of their operations center an unforgettable part of the trip, but every little detail was personalized. The intricacy of air travel became quite clear to me as I observed flight coordinators overseeing international flights in real time.
