Hello, I just stopped by the United Airlines Office in San Diego and thought it was worthwhile to leave a review, particularly because in-person airline offices are becoming few and far between these days. My motivation for visiting was fairly stressful — I had a flight cancellation and a messy rebooking scenario because of weather delays. I'd already attempted to call the customer service number, but after several hours on hold, I figured I might as well try my luck in person. When I entered, the office was tidy, clutter-free, and not overly full. There was a brief wait, perhaps 10–15 minutes, until I spoke to a representative. Her name was Melissa, and she was an absolute professional. Not only did she listen intently, but she also discussed my choices plainly — no air jargon, no hurrying me out of the door. What I was most impressed with was how she treated the rebooking. She was able to get me on a flight the following morning and even got me a hotel voucher because the flight delay was airline-caused. Most offices would leave you stranded or tell you "sorry, nothing we can do," but this office did something. Only negative? Parking around the area is a bit of a hassle, particularly during work hours. But if you happen to be in the area or have an intricate problem, it's worth the trip. United isn't flawless, but their San Diego staff proved to me that there are still some branches who care about customer service. I left feeling relieved and impressed.
