Our family's flight on Southwest Miami Terminal from Miami International Airport's (MIA) Terminal 5 was pleasantly easy and uneventful. One of the standout moments was being allowed to board early as a family with young children, which made finding seats together stress-free thanks to Southwest’s open seating policy. We also noticed how clean and well-kept the restrooms were, which is a big deal when traveling with young kids. While Terminal 5 isn’t the largest or most amenity-rich part of MIA, that actually worked to our advantage — fewer crowds, shorter walks, and an overall more relaxed feel. In the end, our Southwest Miami International Airport felt surprisingly easy and pleasant, and it left us genuinely impressed. For families looking for a low-stress, affordable, and well-organized travel experience, Southwest at Terminal 5 is a fantastic choice we’d happily use again.
