Single, Double, Deluxe and Family Rooms are available at discounted prices, depending on the length of stay. Stay a day, week or a year and negotiate special discounted rates for long or short-term stay. Each type of room is fully furnished with Cable TV, DVD players, telephones, air-conditioning and heating. The bedroom and lounge areas feature wood paneling, parquet flooring, and all windows open with blackout drapes and day curtains. Authentic Thangka paintings decorate the walls. The kitchens are equipped with microwave, gas cooker, toaster, mixers, utensils, fridge, and water cooler. Your personal western style toilet and tiled shower or bathtub have 24-hour instant hot water and fresh towels. SPECIAL SERVICES Daily English newspapers are provided free of charge. A 24-hour Laundry service is also available and trekking guides are available upon request. There are no room charges for children 12 years old and under who occupy the same room as their parents or guardians. Immediate assistance with any problems is a telephone call away to the reception. There is a Doctor on call for any emergency and travel information is available. An Extra bed is available upon request, without any additional charge and daily maid cleaning service is provided free of charge. Two Wi-Fi internet providers are available 24- hours, free of charge and backup generators provide electricity during power cuts. SECURITY There is 24-hour personnel in the reception area and anyone entering the building must pass by the reception personnel. Each apartment has locks on the bathroom door, bedroom door, and the main door which opens into the lounge, so your valuables are safe and secure. Any entry into your room by the trustworthy maids is subject to the guests' convenience and approval. No incident of theft has ever occurred at Thamel Apartments, and at night the front door is closed but there is a bell for late entry.
